What is Bajan pepper sauce?

Bajan pepper sauce is a traditional type of hot sauce from Barbados. Bajan pepper sauce has a mustard flavour and is usually yellow. The traditional ingredients of Bajan pepper sauce include scotch bonnet peppers, mustard, vinegar, cooking oil, hot peppers and onions.

The Carolina Reaper, often known just as The Reaper, is a pepper known for its extreme spice. This month, Hungry Volcano is celebrating this amazing hot pepper.

• This pepper was developed by South Carolina breeder Ed Currie
• The Carolina Reaper was declared the hottest pepper in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2013
• Its appearance is red, bumpy and gnarled, with one pointed end
• The Carolina Reaper’s score on the Scoville scale is 1,569,300 SHU on average
